Licensed Massage Therapist
Rob Lund is the newest addition to our team as a highly skilled and tenured Licensed Massage Therapist. He has come on board to provide even more care to our patients in our sole mission to get people back to their optimum health. Rob has been providing therapeutic massage to his clients for nearly 15 years and has worked with just about every body type there is. Rest assured, he will take great care of you.
As an athlete himself, Rob has plenty of experience with sports related injuries and getting players back on the field.
Rob specializes in multiple areas of recovery:
Deep Tissue: Deep tissue helps in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deeper layers of muscle that surround the bones and deep fascial layers.
Sports and Injury Therapy: After an injury, muscles require special attention. It’s important to get care immediately following an injury so that the muscles heal properly.
Trigger Point Therapy: The causes of trigger points can be numerous and they can create more pain in your body than you’d like. Reducing the severity of these trigger points through appropriate care by a Licensed Massage Therapist is key to recovery.
Hot Rock Therapy: Heated rocks are smooth rocks placed on specific points in the body in order to increase healing and to reduce the tension in muscles.
To learn more about Rob, a short biography is below:
“I have been in the massage profession for over fifteen years and building satisfied clientele along the way. As an athlete in high school and college it allowed me a chance to observe injuries, body malfunction, and agonizing pain making me want to know more about sports medicine along with massage therapy.
I lived in Hawaii for ten years perfecting my skills as a massage therapist for the main purpose to help people get back to health. I became engrained in the culture, lifestyle, and festivities that Hawaii had to offer and didn’t miss a chance to live it up and have fun along the way. While living there, I became part of an outrigger canoe paddling team where we paddled each way 55 miles from Molokai to Honolulu multiple times. Because of the beautiful scenery and amazing oceanic opportunities, it became necessary to become a surfer. During my off time, I became an above average surfer and have loved the sport ever since I hopped on my first board.
An amazing part of my job is that I get to work on different body types, people, and personalities from every part of the world. I returned home to the Valley of the Sun to care for my mom while she recovered from a horrific car accident. I reestablished myself in the valley and now partnering with Dr. Giles at Luxxey Chiropractic to continue my mission of helping people get and feel better.”
